The county approved a 2.3% increase in medical and 3.5% in dental rates, effective October 1. New Ambulance Equipment

Wharton’s City Council unanimously approved the purchase of new ambulance equipment for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at it’s last meeting. The EMS will buy three PowerLoad systems from Stryker Medical for just over $416 grand. This includes a seven-year service agreement for repairs. These PowerLoad systems help lift stretchers in and out of ambulances.

Violent Arrest in Victoria

In Victoria, 26-year-old John Noonan, was arrested for continuous violence after allegedly slapping and dragging his ex-girlfriend out of bed.
