At least 21 homes have been destroyed because of a couple of wildfires in North Texas. The Associated Press says the Chalk Mountain Fire near Glen Rose destroyed 16 homes and damaged five others. Scholarship awarded

The El Campo ISD says Cambrie Priesmeyer was awarded the Welch Foundation Scholarship through the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation. She will receive $20,000 dollars for her college career at the University of Texas in Austin. Cambrie has received this scholarship for her participation in UIL events throughout her time in high school.
