Edna Parade Tragedy

On Tuesday, Jacqueline Medina went to Edna’s Christmas parade excited to see her daughter, Lizbeth, a 16-year-old cheerleader. Shockingly, Lizbeth was missing. Grichmas Parade

The Annual Christmas Parade in El Campo happens tonight. The theme is Grichmas, featuring school bands, festive cars, and dazzling floats. From 1 to 110 years old, there’s something for everyone. The Chamber of Commerce president, expects over 72 entries, including exciting Grinch-themed floats. The parade kicks off at 7.

Parade Rescheduled

Bay City’s Christmas parade is now on Thursday, Dec. 14th at 7 p.m. due to last Friday’s cancellation caused by thunderstorms. Safety concerns for participants, volunteers, and staff prompted the rescheduling. The route, entry numbers, and staging area stay unchanged. The Parks and Recreation Department will notify all parade entries about the new date.

Burglary Acquittal After Delays

A guy in Wharton County was accused of burglary and family violence. The jury in the 23rd District Court says he’s not guilty after a trial that took more than three years because of COVID delays. He was arrested in 2020 after being found in a house on Charlie Street.

How Now Black Cow

The Wharton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the owner of a black cow that has been wandering around the area of 16000 County Road 208, in East Bernard, near the dead end for about a week. The cow has a yellow ear tag with the number 64.
