The Texas Department of Health and Human Services is hosting a Car Seat CheckUp Event at the El Campo Civic Center on North Mechanic, from 10 a.m. to noon this Thursday Sept. 22nd to commemorate National Child Passenger Safety Week.

The El Campo homecoming king and queen were announced Friday. Senior Jaylin Hawkins was crowned homecoming king during the El Campo pep rally Friday morning. County sets annual waste collection day

Birds soar over Tigers in River Battle

The Wharton Tigers had a good game on, but ultimately it was the El Campo Ricebirds speed and power that prevailed Friday night at Ricebird Stadium in the annual meeting of the Battle of the Colorado River. El Campo scored early and often as they beat the Tigers 50-14.
