Officers, acting on a tip, confronted Calvin Williams in his hotel room on Avenue F, where they found methamphetamines and a stolen grocery basket. Williams initially gave a false name and resisted arrest but was identified through jail photos. Along with seven outstanding warrants, he now faces charges of drug possession, theft, and failure to identify. He is held in Matagorda County Jail on $70,000 bond.
