The Wharton City Council is set to meet tonight to discuss the 2024-’25 budget, with a public hearing for residents to share their thoughts before a final vote on September 23rd. They will also decide on installing LED lighting at Wharton Regional Airport and changes to the city’s retirement benefits. The Monterey Square Business Association will request help for their Wine and Arts Fair in October. The meeting, open for public comment, will be at City Hall, 120 E. Caney, at 7 p.m.
