El Campo head football coach Travis Reeve led the Ricebirds’ first official practice at Ricebird Stadium. Schools statewide can go full speed with full contact on Saturday if they complete five days of practice. El Campo’s varsity and junior varsity will scrimmage at 8:15 on Saturday morning at Ricebird Stadium.
Meanwhile, teams from Edna, Ganado, and Industrial have started gearing up for football, volleyball, and cross country.
