Wharton ISD trustees have chosen Olatunji Oduwole as the new superintendent in a 6-1 vote. Trustee Curtis Evans was the only dissenting vote. Oduwole, who has been with the district for eight years, was previously the maintenance and operations director. He was named interim superintendent on June 20th. The board praised his performance and plans to finalize his contract on August 22nd.
