On Friday Bay City PD got a call about a man walking around the Days Inn lobby with a gun. Since the hotel is close to the Bay City High School, the school went on lockdown. While they were at the hotel, the dispatch received another call about the same guy walking around the hospital lobby with a gun. Officers saw a man matching the description in an empty field near the hospital. The suspect, Ryan M. Wade, was found in possession of a flare gun and was charged with terroristic threat, interrupting a public place and unlawfully carrying a weapon. He was taken to the Matagorda County Jail, and more charges might be filed later.
