FEMA field teams have been inspecting damaged properties in Matagorda County since Friday. This includes all communities in the County. They began in the hardest hit area around Sargent, Texas – and then moved into the other areas. The FEMA personnel have badges that will clearly identify them as FEMA employees. Make sure and ask to see the badge and any documentation concerning your property. Please be aware there could be fake imposters in the field. Protect yourself by verifying the people are really with FEMA.
