A student at Kempner High School in Fort Bend ISD might be in trouble after a handgun was found in their backpack on Wednesday. The school administration discovered the firearm and the student was arrested. Luckily, the situation was resolved without any harm to the community. However, criminal charges are being pursued. We don’t know if the search was random or if someone sent a tip. This incident follows another unrelated arrest last week at YES Prep North Forest Secondary School where a student was caught with a gun on campus.
