Helen Feldhousen, manager of Blessing Hotel Restaurant and Coffee Shop, was recently honored by the Matagorda County Commissioners’ Court. July 15th was declared Helen Feldhousen Day in Blessing for her decades of service. Feldhousen gained national fame in 2010 when CNN named her café the “Best Dang Food Joint in Texas.” Other media outlets have since recognized the café.
