Bay City officials reported fewer calls for service over Fourth of July compared to previous years. However, Sargent Volunteer Fire Department Chief Michael Napoleon noted several small grass fires caused by fireworks, which were quickly extinguished without damage. Bay City Police and Fire Marshal’s Office responded to 32 fireworks-related calls, significantly down from previous years.
