On Friday afternoon the Bay City Fire Department and Bay City PD responded to a fire at 4408 Hiram Brandon, building E. Smoke was coming from the eves of the building, and the fire was contained to the alcove above the southeast stairwell. It took around 15 minutes to get the fire under control. The fire marshal investigated and found that the fire originated from a light fixture above the stairwell, which was damaged from a previous fire in December. The damage was estimated to be $1,500. No one was hurt.
