Wharton’s City Council is moving forward with a major sidewalk overhaul, thanks to a $350,000 grant. The project will improve and extend sidewalks over 3.5 miles. Construction on downtown walkways will begin soon after a slight delay. Meanwhile, the Richmond Road sidewalk is visibly progressing, and sewer repairs on South East Avenue are underway.
