In a historic move on Monday at Victoria County commissioner’s court, they appointed Brian Watson from Beeville as the new Chief Public Defender. Covering Victoria, Lavaca, Jackson, and Refugio counties, Watson’s role is to offer legal support to those who can’t afford it. Watson starts his new role on April 22nd
