K-9 Deputy Kai, a 9-year-old dog who served the Wharton County Sheriff’s Office for 7 years, is hanging up his collar. Kai was a superstar in sniffing out drugs, finding hundreds of kilos of cocaine, marijuana, meth, and other drugs. Now, Kai’s off to enjoy a well-deserved retirement full of playtime, treats, and naps with a member of the Sheriff’s Office.
