Bay City ISD is looking for a group to use the old Linnie Roberts Elementary school on Whitson Street. They want it to benefit the community. The school board rejected donation proposals in February. It’s been empty since the new campus opened in 2021. The superintendent wants to honor its history and find a good use for it, but because of its historical status, it makes it hard to insure or renovate.
