Carl Lang, died in a car chase with police in Port Lavaca. Lang, 28, stole a Jeep from a Walgreens parking lot. Police chased him on Lavaca Bay Causeway where he sped over 100 MPH, hitting two cars. The chase ended when the Jeep flipped near SH 35 and Farm-to-Market Road 2143. Lang was thrown from the car and died despite efforts to revive him.
