A truck backed into a tank containing petroleum products, causing the valve to break and spill 300 barrels of crude oil at Port of Victoria. The spill was contained in a berm area to prevent it from spreading into the canal. Shamrock Products tried to handle the situation themselves, but after 24 hours, they reported the spill to the Environmental Protection Agency hotline. The cleanup was completed as of Tuesday.
