In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, people gather annually to celebrate his birthday on Jan. 15th. King, known for his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, advocated for equality in 1963. This year’s march in Matagorda County will start at 1212 Whitson Street, proceeding to Mount Zion Baptist Church on Avenue B at 10:30 a.m rain or shine.
