A little over a year ago, an El Campo man, Isaac Ray Lopez, fired shots at a birthday party, injuring two adults. In court, he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. The 22-year-old received a five-year prison sentence, with credit for 156 days served. Fortunately, the two children at the party were unharmed. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
