Wendel Coleman, 52, from Montgomery, ended up at Wharton County Jail for failing sobriety tests during a traffic stop on Sunday. Deputies stopped him around 1 a.m. on FM 1301 near CR 129, noticing the smell of alcohol. After three failed tests and refusing a fourth, Coleman was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He later posted a $2,500 bond and was released after processing at the county jail.
