Gail and Clay Cook from the Matagorda Volunteer Fire Department announced on Monday that they are now officially a licensed first responding team. They’re the first in the county to achieve this certification. This means they can provide vital medical care before an ambulance arrives, helping patients in need. The license allows them to use life-saving skills, administer oxygen, start IVs, and more.
