A proposal to reduce speed limits in construction zones in the county was tabled due to legal concerns Monday night. Precinct 1 Commissioner Richard Zahn had suggested the change for safety reasons, but County Judge Phillip Spenrath expressed doubts about the county’s authority to issue such mandates. The court also approved the auction of old patrol cars and seized vehicles, and agreed on several actions related to the Juvenile Probation Department, including an internet services agreement and equipment purchases. The county’s jury plan was also unanimously approved.
