With the death of its former owner, Jack Findlay, his estate has now been placed in probate court and the heirs of the Luther Hotel have announced its plans to sell the property. The new prospective owners have contacted the Texas Historical Commission with a request to demolish the property. The Luther Hotel has been around for 120 years and has survived hurricanes that hit the Gulf Coast but now the historic hotel is in danger of being gone.
