Matagorda County Farm Bureau hosted another successful event of educating our county’s fourth graders about agriculture last Thursday and Friday at the Matagorda County Fairgrounds. The 2-day event featured classes on topics including farm safety, farm equipment, rice, dairy, swine, beef, wildlife, crops, aquaculture and turf. Educators included the board of directors’ team and local farmers and ranchers. They also provided a lunch using the meat that they purchased at the Matagorda County Livestock Show and Rodeo.
