The Edna police department handled a traffic stop recently involving a vehicle of concern. They found a previous
convict in the vehicle with $48,000 stashed away in a cell phone box. Edna PD booked the convict for transporting over $10,000 cash as well as a warrant from another county. The convict was previously booked for human smuggling and police believes that is where the money was from.
