Both the current and incoming congressmen representing Matagorda County stand united in their opposition
of President Joe Biden’s decision to forgive up to $20,000 of existing student’s college loan debt.
Congressman Troy Nehls, who will begin representing Matagorda County in January, believes the move by Biden is politically-generated. Current Matagorda County Congressman Michael Cloud has opened an investigation regarding the Biden administration’s unfair decision to cancel undergraduate student
loan debt and stick the American taxpayer with the bill.
