Hawaiian Senator’s Home Destroyed

Former Hawaiian state senator Roslyn Hester Baker also known as Roz Baker, a graduate of El Campo High School in 1964, narrowly escaped the Maui wildfire. Born in El Campo, she earned her diploma as valedictorian while her father worked as the district’s business manager. Her childhood in El Campo made her a Ricebird forever. Recently, her Lahaina home fell victim to the wildfire, leaving her briefly missing, but now found, her condition was unknown.
