El Campo’s newest mural now brightens Friendship Park on North Wharton Street, showcasing big Texas pride. Created by El Campo Middle School art teacher Pam Clapp, the mural features a Texas flag and postcard-style welcome design. It’s part of a Keep El Campo Beautiful project, with more murals planned to highlight local history, farming, and school spirit. Board president Bill Smartt says the artwork adds beauty for visitors and inspires more public art. Volunteers also planted flowers near City Hall as part of ongoing beautification efforts across the community.
