The Bay City Public Library has introduced “Transparent Language Online for Libraries,” a comprehensive language-learning system. It offers courses and lessons to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Patrons can now learn new languages, including American Sign Language. The best part is that learners can access it from home, at the library, or on the library’s website. With over 110 languages available this program offers pronunciation practice, speech analysis, grammar, writing, and vocabulary activities. It works on computers and mobile devices via a web browser or mobile app.
