An important reminder

An important reminder from the Bay City Fire Marshal’s Office. Children left in hot cars can experience life-threatening consequences in just 20 minutes. According to experts, kids heat up three-to-five times faster than adults, making them more vulnerable. Symptoms start with dizziness, sweating, agitation, and confusion, progressing to seizures, loss of consciousness, and potentially death. Even if they survive, permanent brain damage can occur. Opening car windows doesn’t provide sufficient relief. In an experiment by Ambulance Victoria, car temperature tripled in just 20 minutes. Never leave children unattended in a hot car.
