The Bay City Council has teamed up with Matagorda County to make professional legal research tools available to the public. Starting soon, anyone can use the Westlaw legal database at the Bay City Public Library to look up laws, court rulings, and legal guides. Library staff won’t offer legal advice, but residents can use the new computer station for self-directed research during regular hours. The county will supply and maintain the system, while the city provides space and internet—giving the community free access to top-tier legal resources.
