Busy Docket Despite Drop in Revenue

Bay City’s Municipal Court stayed busy at the end of last year, even as cash collections dropped. From October through December, the court brought in just under eighty-eight thousand dollars — about five-and-a-half thousand less than the previous quarter. Despite the dip in revenue, case filings remained steady, with more than six hundred new cases, most of them traffic-related. Court staff also cleared over a hundred warrants and handled nearly two hundred magistrations. The report was shared with Bay City Council at its recent meeting.
