Keith Wittig, a Boling High School graduate and local business owner, has been sworn in to the Boling ISD Board of Trustees, winning the Position 7 seat with 268 votes to 131 over Walter Popisil. Wittig, co-owner of Central Turf Farms in Wharton, says he’s eager to give back to the schools that shaped him. The Texas A&M alum and parent of a Boling student plans to focus on ensuring teachers and students have the tools they need to succeed. Wittig will serve a three-year term, filling the seat vacated earlier this year by the district’s former board president.
