Ganado Looks to Keep Playoff Upper Hand

Ganado enters Thanksgiving weekend focused on defending its reputation as Refugio’s playoff roadblock. The No. 2 Indians face the top-ranked Bobcats Friday in Port Lavaca, and the town remembers the past two years well. Ganado stunned Refugio in both postseason meetings, including last year’s 14-6 win that fueled their run to the school’s first 2A Division I state title. Ganado knows Refugio is hungry for revenge, but the Indians believe their balance and confidence can carry them through another deep playoff run when kickoff hits at 7 p.m. Friday.
