Wharton County Junior College is launching a community push to help local students facing food and supply shortages. On Dec. 2nd, all four campuses — Wharton, Bay City, Sugar Land and Richmond — will host an all-day donation drive for the WCJC Homestead food pantry. Drop-offs run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pantry needs diapers, wipes, toiletries, snacks, microwave-ready meals and financial donations. Checks can be mailed to the WCJC Foundation on Boling Highway in Wharton.
