Shooter Starts 35-Year Prison Term

Convicted El Campo shooter Jeremy Holloway is now in state custody after leaving the Wharton County Jail at 4 a.m. Monday to begin a 35-year sentence. He pleaded guilty last month to fatally shooting 23-year-old Darrell Jackson, his girlfriend’s son, outside a home on Lundy Street in June. Jackson was hit in the back while trying to leave and later died at El Campo Memorial Hospital. Holloway was arrested in Columbus the same night and also faces a probation revocation on a prior drug case.
