A Brazoria County community is in shock after deputies say a mother shot her four children early last Friday morning, killing two of them. Investigators identified 31-year-old Oninda Romelus as the suspect, now charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault. Deputies found the children inside a vehicle near Rosharon just before 5 a.m. A 13-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl died at the scene, while two others, ages 8 and 9, were flown to a Houston hospital and are recovering. Authorities say quick action by deputies likely saved one child’s life. Romelus remains jailed on a $14 million bond.
