Defense Shines Despite Loss to La Marque

Wharton’s offense cooled off Friday after a recent 36-point performance, falling 36-6 to the La Marque Cougars in their lowest-scoring game this season. Despite the loss, Wharton’s defense kept fighting, led by Anthony Hatchett with 1.5 sacks and Raelon Thompson with 16 tackles and a forced fumble. La Marque’s Cory Hosea ran wild with 267 yards and four touchdowns. The Tigers, now 3-3, hope to bounce back at home Friday night against Harmony School of Innovation.
