The Palacios Community Hub marked its first year in Jackson County with a free lunch in Edna, showing off its growing reach beyond Palacios. Led by Executive Director Emily Fagan-Baker, the nonprofit brings big-city resources to rural areas—everything from legal aid and health services to English classes and youth programs. The focus is on sustainable living, with classes on stretching grocery money, cooking and gardening. PCH is also adding diabetes, recovery and parenting groups plus a juvenile curriculum program.
