Authorities say the aircraft went down around 8 p.m. near County Road 382 and Ward Street, southwest of Houston. Federal officials report the plane appeared to stall in midair before trying to land and crashing. Two people were killed. Their names have not been released. The Federal Aviation Administration secured the site, and the National Transportation Safety Board is now leading the investigation to determine what caused the tragedy.
