Authorities have now confirmed the victims of Saturday night’s plane crash in Louise as retired Air Force Lt. Col. Michael McCoy, 62, and his wife Heather, 62, both of Fair Oaks Ranch. The Wharton County Sheriff’s Office says the couple was aboard a North American T-6 when it went down near County Road 382 and Ward Street. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators report the plane appeared to stall while attempting to land. The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the ongoing investigation into the cause.
