A second Wharton man has been sentenced in the ’21 Thanksgiving murder at Meadows Apartments. Nathaniel Ford Allen pleaded guilty on June 9th and was sentenced to 46 years, with credit for over 1,200 days in jail. Prosecutors say Allen and Daveon Marqui Allen shot 25-year-old Larry Joe Guerra 15 times during a robbery. Guerra died the next day. Daveon Allen received a 50-year sentence earlier this year. Both cases are now closed, according to Wharton County District Attorney Mark Racer.
