Three women from the Rio Grande Valley were arrested Monday after Wharton County deputies found 63 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on U.S. 59 near FM 102. The women, from McAllen and Mission, were pulled over for a violation when the officer noticed suspicious behavior. A vehicle search confirmed the drug discovery. The three women face charges for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and participating in organized criminal activity. The drugs are worth about 600 grand on the streets.
