The Palacios Community Hub was alive with music and laughter during the Cinco de Mayo Celebration, attracting families from across Matagorda County. The event, held at the Hub’s plaza, featured mariachi performances, piñata contests, and cultural activities, celebrating Mexican heritage and fostering unity. Children painted sombreros and danced while parents proudly watched. Paula Ortiz, who coordinated the event, was praised for connecting with the community. Staff announced an even bigger 3-day event planned for November.
