Jackson County’s Extension Services Building is getting a major facelift, with El Campo’s BLS Construction leading the work. Phase one includes updates to the auditorium, bathrooms, and 4-H kitchen, with completion expected by May 28th. Judge Jill Sklar says the much-needed project, the first in 25 years, aims to better serve community groups like 4-H. Rent prices will stay the same, though deposits have gone up to cover cleanup and damage costs. The full renovation should wrap by summer’s end.
