A two-year-old Wharton girl died last week after being taken to OakBend Medical Center with breathing trouble. She was later pronounced dead at Wharton Hospital. An autopsy is underway by Fort Bend County officials. Wharton Police are treating it as an unattended death but say it’s not criminal at this time. The child wasn’t brought in by ambulance, and how she arrived is still being looked into. Her name is being withheld.
