An El Campo man has completed his sentence after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including assaulting jailers in Wharton County. Damion Jermaine Wilkerson, 39, was sentenced to two years on Feb. 26 but had already served his time. Arrested on a parole violation in ’22, Wilkerson became combative at the jail, injuring three officers. He bit two and kicked another but caused no serious harm. Officers restrained him and later moved him to a cell. His current whereabouts are unknown.
